Who are the Vision Cards for Parents for?
These cards are created specifically for (soon-to-be) parents who want to be mindful about their parenting style. Although you can use these cards whether your kids are 5 months or 15 years, we expect the topics will be most useful when your kid is still a baby or a toddler. If you the baby is still on the way – even better! You’ll have more time to consider the questions.
What topics are covered in these parenting cards?
We’ve compiled 49 questions in 7 different areas worth considering: You as a Parent, Development & Boundaries, Health, The People Around You, Self-care, Parenting & Your Relationship, and Practical Matters. We’ve asked dozens of parents about the things they wished they’d thought of before having kids. The Vision Cards for Parents are the result!
Are there any questions created for kids?
Not in the Vision Cards for Parents, but we do have a card deck created specifically for kids age 6-12: our Kids’ Quest-ions! Here, you’ll find a whole bunch of questions to empower kids to take charge of who they want to be.
Would this make for a good baby shower present?
Normally, we’d say yes: the very best moment to use these parenting cards is while you’re expecting (let’s get real – once the baby is there, you’ve got other things on your mind). However, for now this deck is only available as a digital file. You could print it yourself, gift the pdf, or grab the physical copy in Dutch.
Who created these cards?
All questions are created by Marianna Zelichenko, the founder of Odder Being. Almost each card deck is illustrated by a different person. The Parenting vision cards are illustrated by Lotte Wendrich, who unfortunately passed away unexpectedly before the cards were completed.
