Polyamory Conversation Cards – Digital Edition (English, français, Deutsch, Nederlands)

Every relationship is unique, and this is even more true for polyamorous relationships – what works for someone else may not work for you (or the other way around, of course!) Assumptions lead to misunderstandings (and often quite a bit of drama). We’re hoping to make polyamory easy by giving you the tools you need to discuss your needs and boundaries with your partners.

What topics are explored in the Polyamory Conversation Cards – Digital Edition?

The cards have 7 categories (each containing 7 questions): Autonomy & Sharing, Communication, Emotional Safety, Relationship Structures, Sexuality, Dealing With Challenges, and Practicalities. Each category helps you explore & discuss what you’re looking for in your relationships, and hopefully find common ground.

What’s the difference between the digital edition and the regular Polyamory Conversation Cards?

The Polyamory Conversation Cards is a physical product that’ll be shipped to your home address (or any other address you provide). The digital edition is a pdf you can print yourself or use on for a computer or mobile device. Unlike the physical copy, the digital edition is available in multiple languages.

What if I want both the physical cards AND the pdf?

How can I print the cards in the digital edition?

Once your order is completed, you receive a link to download the digital cards. Click on this link and you’ll be taken to the pdf. Now, as you can see, this pdf has the front of every card is a separate page. Depending on the size of cards you prefer, you can print them by choosing multiple ‘Pages per sheet’ in the print dialogue settings. We suggest printing 9 cards on 1 page. The first page is just a cover image, so you may want to skip it.

Why are the backside and box not included?

In our experience, most people either use the cards on their phone or try to keep the printing simple. However, if you’d like to go all the way and print the corresponding backsides and box, shoot us a message and we’ll make it happen!

I’m monogamish/in an open relationship/practicing some other form of consensual non-monogamy. Can I still use the Polyamory Conversation Cards?

You can! Although some questions won’t be relevant to your specific dynamic, you can use these cards with any non-monogamy dynamic.

Me and my partner are looking for a third person to join our relationship. Are these cards right for us?

The Polyamory Conversation Cards will help you both in your conversations together and in conversations with any potential third who’d consider joining the dynamic. We also have a blog specifically for couples looking to add a third person to their relationship. We highly recommend reading it!

Can I use the Polyamory Conversation cards if I’m monogamous?

We’ve heard of multiple monogamous people who said a lot of the questions are also really relevant for their relationships. Some other questions are focused on polyamory and other forms of ethical non-monogamy specifically. Can I use the Polyamory Conversation cards if I only have one relationship at the moment?

Absolutely! The amount of partners you have at the moment doesn’t matter. In fact, these questions are a great starting point if you’re considering opening up an existing relationship. You could use them with your existing partner, as well as any new partners.

Can I use the Polyamory Conversation cards if I don’t have a relationship at the moment?

Yes! Although they are originally intended as conversation cards, the questions are also great to help you figure out what you’re looking for in your relationships. When you understand the things that make you happy, as well as the things that don’t work for you, it’s easier to figure out who could be a compatible partner when you’re dating.

Are you offering the Polyamory Conversation Cards in other languages?

You can grab the Polyamory Conversation Cards – Digital Edition in several different languages: English, French, German, and Dutch. If you’re looking for the pdf in a different language, shoot us a message and we’ll try to make it happen. The physical cards are only available in English.

Who made the Polyamory Conversation Cards?

All questions are developed by Marianna Zelichenko, the founder of Odder Being. Most card decks are illustrated by different artists. The polyamory conversation cards are illustrated by @the.artful.iriz, a queer & polyamorous artist from the Netherlands.
