What is this neurodivergent kid guide about?
This guide is a free resource for parents, caregivers, and educators who want to support neurodivergent kids. We’ll explain you a bit about the difference between neurotypical thinking and neurodivergent thinking and offer you some exercises and insights to help your kids thrive in their unique way, building confidence, resilience, and independence.

What does the guide include?
This guide covers 5 different topics: embracing diversity, the importance of role models, the role of listening, advocating for your neurodivergent kid, and the focus on life skills. For each chapter, you’ll get a quick introduction and multi-step exercises to implement what you’ve just learned.
How will this guide help my neurodivergent kid?
In a different world, being neurodivergent would be easy. As it is, neurodivergent kids often don’t fit the standards set by society and the mainstream system. This guide will help you bridge the gap between the neurotypical lines of thought and being neurodivergent so you can truly understand your kid and help them in a way that fits with their unique needs. Is this guide specific to any age group?
Not really. Depending on your kid’s age and personality you may find you already know some of the things in the guide because your kid told you. Other than that, the exercises and info in this guide can be tailored to your neurodivergent kid’s age.
Can I use this guide as an educator?
Absolutely! If you’re a teacher or on the school staff and you’re willing to truly understand neurodivergence, this guide will be a great starting point that goes beyond stigma and pathology and looks at neurodivergence in a positive light (while still acknowledging the challenges).
